The Happy Snail

The design for this little snail came to me when my 5 year old son chose one of his favourite books - The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson for book week at kindergarten. We had an idea for a costume which was a cutout of a big whale tail out of cardboard painted in blue with a little crocheted snail attached to it. The first snail I made for my son was done in shades of brown but for this pattern, I’ve made it in pink and rainbow.

It’s a very simple beginner friendly pattern that can be made in all types of yarn and hook size. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
